In October 1975, Appellees Charles Christiansen, John Mitchell, Allen Panamaroff, Gust Reft, Jr., and Fred Katelnikoff [the Fishermen] brought suit to recover the price of approximately 100,000 pounds of fish they sold and delivered to Trans-Alaska Seafood Products , a partnership comprised of Raymond Ellis, Patrick Pletnikoff, Frank Mullen, Robert Bedwell, and Trans-Alaska Management Services Company, Inc. . In the suit, the Fishermen also named Mr. and Mrs. Earl Blaser as guarantors of the price of the fish.
